Patrick Phillips Davis was born July the 10th, 1943 to his parents Roma and Phillip Davis. His parents loved the Ozarks and moved from Anthony, Kansas to Monett, Missouri, then later to Wentworth where he attended school at Pierce City. There he met his high school sweetheart Carolyn Poage. He was a senior, she was a sophomore. They were married December the 27th in 1964. After their marriage, Pat continued his education and graduated from Southwest Missouri State University. The family moved to Strafford in 1976. Pat was employed at Zenith Television Corporation for 25 years. Later he worked at Evangel University for 15 years. Pat and Carolyn have been members of First Assembly of God in Strafford for 45 years where he served as deacon several times.
Pat was so proud of his family and was always telling people what his three sons were doing. Pat had a love for the Royal Rangers Program where you Reach, Teach, and Keep boys for Christ. He enjoyed many outings and campouts. Just a year ago he received the highest award in the Royal Rangers Program.
Pat is survived by his wife Carolyn, their three sons, Shannon Davis of Strafford, Matthew Davis and his wife Debbie or Strafford, and Chris Davis and his wife Carrie of Strafford; six grandchildren, Brooklan (Chad) Lugar, Thomas Ames, Patrick Davis, Megan Ames, Chloe Davis, Austin (Brookelyn) Ames; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Kay Ames and Lucy Mae Lugar; one sister, Sandra Bell and her husband Bruce of Springfield; brother-in-laws, Les Hagebusch, Carroll Poage, Ron Poage, Tom Poage; sister-in-law, Ruth Poage; and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Pat will be Sunday, April 27, 2:00-4:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. His service will be Monday, April 28, 10:00 am, at First Assembly of God in Strafford, Missouri, followed by his interment in Danforth Cemetery.
