Paul D. Gordon, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on August 26, 2023. Born on February 1, 1987, in St. Louis, MO, Paul’s charismatic presence and inner light touched the hearts of all who knew him. His sudden departure leaves a void in the lives of his loved ones and a deep sense of loss in the community he was a part of.
Throughout his life, Paul found joy in the simple pleasures. Whether it was building fires or creating innovative projects, his passion for fire and pyrotechnics was undeniable. His vibrant personality ensured that he was always at the center of attention, effortlessly lighting up any room he entered. Paul attended school in Pleasant Hope, Missouri. A skilled roofer in the construction industry, he took immense pride in his work, always striving for excellence.
In his spare time, Paul found solace in the calming rhythm of fishing and indulging in the art of window shopping. These activities allowed him to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the world around him. Paul had a true appreciation for the small things in life and embraced simplicity with open arms.
He was welcomed and encompassed with love in heaven by his parents, Kenneth Gordon and Donna Wells and sister, Nova Fears.
Paul leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. He is survived by his cherished brothers William Gordon, Gary Shrout, and Danny Shrout; his beloved sisters, Susan McClain, Georgia and Larry Smith; and his daughter Zoie Kay Gordon; numerous nephews and nieces; several cousins; other family members and friends. Their lives are forever touched by his presence and his unwavering love.
In celebration of Paul’s remarkable life, friends, family, and community members are invited to a Celebration of life on September 30, 2023, starting at 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm. This gathering will serve as an opportunity to honor his memory and share stories that encapsulate the essence of who he was.
Paul Gordon’s departure from this world leaves a profound void, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we come together to reflect on his life, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and carry his spirit within us.
