Paul H. Williams, age 89 of Springfield, MO. went home to be with his Lord and Savior July 4, 2020 in his home with his family by his bed side. He was born in Dallas County Missouri, to Taylor Paul and Dorothy G. (Moore) Williams on December 24, 1930. Paul was a 1949 graduate of Fair Grove High School. On November 3, 1950 he married his High School sweetheart, Avis Marie Pfeifer.
During the Korean Conflict Paul served his country from 1951 to 1954 overseas in the 72nd tank Battalion, receiving two Bronze Stars, and was honorably discharged as a sergeant.
Paul was later employed by McNolly Buick, Montgomery Buick and retired from Lily Tulip.
In 1968, Paul and Avis’ 8 year old daughter, Pamla Marchele was called home to be by Jesus’ side. Paul is also preceded in death by his parents, Mother and Father-in-law, Retha and Everett Pfeifer, his brothers: Clarence and LeRoy, and his sister, Sylvia (Williams) Morgan.
He is survived by his wife, Avis, daughter: Paula Marie Williams (Clarence (Sonny) Clark). two grandsons: Douglas S. Kyle (Kelly Warner and her son Kutter) Michael B. Kyle (Kristina) and their daughters Madelyn, Olivia and Maycee. Sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy Mae and Dick Forrester, along with nieces and nephews.
Burial is under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Olive, MO.
