It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Judson Hungerford, a beloved husband, father, brother, and respected member of the community. Born on July 15, 1938, in Springfield, MO, Paul dedicated his life to serving his country and community. After his Naval Career, he went on to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and continued to display unwavering dedication to his country. His commitment to service extended into his professional life, where he worked as an Associate Warden in the Federal Prison Systems.
Paul’s favorite hobby was following The Lady Bears Basketball Team. And he would often sponsor High school girls for basketball camp.
Paul’s legacy will forever be treasured by his loving wife Doris Hungerford, daughter Julie Moore, son-in-law Rodney Moore, and sister Harriet Hogan. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
The Graveside service to honor and celebrate Paul’s life will be at Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield on July 12, 2024, at 2:00 pm.
