Mike Conley left a message on December 8, 2023:
In 1988 our Mother asked the nine of us to share our memories of growing up. She interviewed each of us and compiled our answers and sent each of us a copy of all of our memories. When I learned of Paul's passing, I read what he had shared with our Mother. It is obvious in reading his memories that he was a child with a lot of energy and spunk. He was the reason all the boys had crew cuts after he put super putty in Mark's hair and Mom had to cut it out. Thus crew cuts for all. He always had a score throat when there was a space launch so he could stay home and watch it on TV. His big memory from a vacation trip out west was "falling in love" in Red River, NM. He even convinced Dad that they had to go back to the same restaurant so he could see his "first love" again. He wanted all of to know that he was a credit to our family because he knew how to make gravy without lumps. There were many more memories he shared, too numerous to recount here. My memories are of Paul being an excellent guitarist always willing to share his talents playing at Liturgies. The biggest memory I have is his total love and dedication and admiration for his sons. There never seemed to be a limit to his care and concern for Ben and helping him meet the challenges of life. This is a gift beyond measure. You will be missed by many, especially your family. Rest in Peace

Paul Conley and I attended high school together at St. Louis Preparatory Seminary South in Shrewsbury, MO. Paul and I originally thought we had the calling to be priests. Paul and I along with 3 other classmates formed a guitar group to play at Mass celebrations on the weekend. Paul was an unbelievable guitarist. He was always practicing to perfect his ability to play. Paul was a great person, a great friend, who will be missed. Please pray for Paul and his family.

Paul was an awesome father/caregiver to his son, Ben. He could get him to "belly laugh" like no one else. Ben's eye's would light up when he heard his voice.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

It was such a privilege to know Paul. In all of the years I’ve worked with people with disabilities I have never witnessed such a beautiful sight as the bond between Ben and Paul. I will always remember him and his unique humor and brilliant mind fondly. My prayers are with all who loved him.
