It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paula June Smith. Born on August 5, 1952, in Springfield, MO, to Paul and June (McReynolds) Campbell. Paula passed away on July 15, 2024, at her home in Brookline, MO, surrounded by her loved ones. She was united in marriage to Buzz Smith June 11, 2005.

Paula found joy in her career as a floral designer, where she displayed a creative flair in bringing beauty and happiness to others through her work. Her kind spirit and warm smile touched the lives of many around her.

Paula loved to travel, Hawaii being her favorite destination.  She liked competing at Rock’n Ribs BBQ, and other BBQ competitions preparing the dessert, and all the decorations made of edible fruits and vegetables with her brother Jeff.  She loved her fur-babies and her church family.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother in-law Earnest Lashley.

Paula is survived by her husband Buzz Smith; her son Jimmie Fletcher (Shelly); two stepchildren: Ben Smith (Angelina), and Jennifer Smith; a sister Pamela Lashley; three brothers: Jim Campbell (Pam), Jeff Campbell (Barbara), and Randy Campbell (Alice); sister in-law Jeannie Patterson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all those who knew her.

A celebration of Paula’s life will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on July 18, 2024, at 3:00 pm with Lora Hobbs officiating, following a visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Springfield, MO.  Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
