Hilary Peacock Austin left a message on September 20, 2024:
I loved her! My senior year at GHS I was her student mentor for an hour a day. She taught me so much. She lead with compassion, had a gentle spirit and a sweet disposition. She loved her students. The class I helped in worked every day for the entire semester on how to count money, how to order off a Waffle House menu, how to wash our hands before eating, etc. At the end of the semester we took the class to Waffle House to practice what we taught. That was one of my favorite days. The students were prepared, they had their money and knew how much they needed for tax and they had memorized what they were going to order. It was a complete success and we all were thrilled at our success! Almost 30 years later I still remember a lot of precious moments I had with her and her amazing students. Mrs. McClenthan you had a gift! Thank you for sharing that with me in 1997!

What a great marriage you had with my dad creating memories together that I know he will cherish. I loved having you over every week for football wearing our matching Chiefs pj’s. It has been a privilege helping Dad take care of you over the past 8 months. Love, Thomas and Nikki
