Ralph (Sonny) Finkbiner Jr. passed away Friday, November 18, 2022, with family surrounding him. Ralph was born June 22, 1934 to Ralph H. Sr. and Helen (Gateley) Finkbiner of Willard, MO.
Ralph attended Willard High School and graduated in 1953. He was inducted into the Willard Activities Hall of Fame in February of 2003, as a four year letterman and state qualifier in Basketball, Softball, Track and Baseball.
After graduating in 1953 he enlisted into the Air Force, on June 29, 1954. He served in Germany at Rhein-Main Air Force Base. He was a Airman First Class REGAF from 1954 -1958.
Returning back to Willard he married the love of his life Glenna Frost on November 1,1958. They shared 64 years together. To this union they have three children: Mike, Julie, and Linda.
Ralph worked many years at Hiland Dairy, being a home delivery Milk Man driver for the rural route in the Springfield, Willard area. He retired as a Security Guard, from Highland Springs Country Club.
He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and spending weekends at the lake. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved to garden and grow roses.
Ralph is survived by his wife Glenna, a son Mike (Sarah) Finkbiner, two daughters: Julie (Terry) Allhands, and Linda Williams, six grandchildren: Scott Williams, Cory (Ashley) Allhands, Amanda (Levi) Britain, Cody (Kayla) Allhands, Kiley (Logan) Alumbaugh, and Kara (Austin) Fodge, eleven great-grandchildren: Sawyer Williams, Bentley, Daxton, and Eyla Allhands, Remy, Rae and Baylor Allhands, Cooper Britain, Hattie and Havana Alumbaugh, and a niece: Debbie Collins.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents: Helen and Ralph Finkbiner Sr. two sisters: and brothers-in-law: Barbara (Bob) Cosby, Wanda (Delvin) McQuerter, father and mother-in-law: Glen and Nina Frost, son-in-law: Toby Williams and two great-grandchildren: Remy and Baylor Allhands.
A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the Remy Run at Old Missouri Bank-please mention Kayla or Cody Allhands. The family would like to thank the staff at Ash Grove Nursing Home.
