“Randall Gary Moots, age 69, of Billings, MO passed away Sunday, April 9th at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. A native of Springfield, he was the son of Dean and Shirley Moots.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anita (Brown) Moots, daughter Laura Holmes, sons Brian Moots and his wife Angela and Chad Moots and his wife Erin, his mother Shirley Moots and his brother, Roger Moots, and sister Donna Curbow.
He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren: Alexandra, Anna, Abigail, Asher, Emma, Sophie, Lily, Olivia, Kolby, and Owen and 2 great-grandchildren: Aiden and Atlas.
Above all else, Randall loved his family. He spent many summers vacationing with his wife, children, grandchildren, great children, his mother and his mother and father-in-law at the beach. He loved family gatherings that brought everyone together, particularly if it gave him a reason to make his famous homemade ice cream and chocolate syrup. Randall was also passionate about travel. He traveled to all 50 states and several continents and always looked forward to planning excursions with his wife, Anita. In addition to travel, he enjoyed golf and spending time with his friends in the Springfield Senior golf league whenever he got the chance. If he wasn’t planning his next adventure or golfing, you could find him immersed in sports. He enjoyed watching baseball, football, and basketball, especially if he could spend time watching the KC Royals, the KC Chiefs, or the MO State Bears with his sons. Brian and Chad. Randall retired as managing partner of the accounting firm, KPM. In the course of his years of dedicated work he touched many people’s lives, and he was extremely proud of the opportunities he had to provide mentorship to others and of the friendships he developed with his clients and colleagues. Randall was also known though the Missouri Society of CPAs and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, at Greenlawn South. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 13th, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Billings) located at 320 NW Washington Ave., Billings, MO 65610, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Billings, MO.
