Randy Dean Corkren, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 65 in his lifelong hometown of Springfield, Missouri. Born on June 23, 1960, Randy filled his life with joy, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family and friends.
A dedicated shipping clerk and forklift driver at Loren Cook, Randy was well-respected in the manufacturing industry. His work ethic was as strong as his passion for life. Randy took great pride in providing for his family, ensuring they were all surrounded by love and support. Randy was united in marriage to the love of his life Bonnie Hamilton on August 18, 1978
Randy’s zest for life was evident in his love for the outdoors, his passion for barbecue, and his remarkable talent for cooking. He was known for gathering family and friends around the grill, sharing delicious meals and unforgettable memories. A huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, Randy enjoyed cheering for his team with friends, often finding joy in the camaraderie of game day. His enthusiasm for concerts and the thrill of live music contributed to a vibrant spirit that will be missed by all who knew him.
Randy is survived by his devoted wife, Bonnie Corkren; his mother, Rosalea McCormick; his son, Josh Corkren; his daughter, Lindsey Marshall and wife Rachel; his brothers, Travis Burns and wife Barbara and Scott Corkren; and wife Sharon his sister, Leita Sanders; and his cherished grandchildren, Trace Corkren, Payton Corkren, and Brevin Marshall. Each of them carries a piece of his legacy in their hearts; along with a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, David Corkren.
Celebration of Randy’s life will take place on September 19, 2025. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, beginning at 12:00 PM. A heartfelt service celebrating his life will follow at 1:00 PM, before Randy is laid to rest in Wesley Cemetery Willard.
