Jack went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 29, 2026. He was the oldest son of Lovel Boyd and Emma Frances Floyd Sawyers.

Jack attended school at Royal, Fox Ridge and Wheatland. After graduating, he joined the Navy. After returning home, he met Carol Lightle and they were married on December 31, 1960. To this union three children were born. Anthony (Tony) Tammy and Terry.

Jack had several jobs but the one he loved the most was telling others about his Lord and Savior. He also loved working where needed from visits to the hospital to helping with the passing of a loved one to mowing the grass. In the late 70’s he was called into the ministry and he served several churches. The last one being Rondo Baptist. Jack never met a stranger and he loved people and serving his Lord and Savior.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his parents Lovel and Emma, his four brothers Jimmy Dee, Lovel Boyd Jr.  Lewis Alvin, Thomas Morgan and a grandson Jeffrey Colton.

He is survived by his three children, Anthony (Sonya of Flemington, MO., Tammy and Robert Cox of Nevada, MO. And Terry and Rachel of Wheatland, MO. Six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. The family would like to thank everyone for the kindness shown to us.
