Reverend James “Jim” Michael Palmisano passed away on April 9, 2021 on his 64th brithday at his home in Springfield, Missouri. He was born to Anthony and Jacqueline (Madonio) Palmisano in Ravenna, Ohio on April 9, 1957. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, his oldest brother Louis Palmisano, and his father-in-law Ross Holliday. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Palmisano of Springfield, Missouri, daughter Leah (Jordan) McNack, missionaries in West Africa, son Chris (Paul) Hale of Marshall, Wisconsin, seven grandchildren, his brother Anthony (Debrorah) Palmisano, mother-in-law Glennis Holliday, sister in-law Pamela (Raymond) Smith, and several nieces and nephews. He was a minister with the Assemblies of God for more than 30 years. During that time he served as Pastor of Slater A/G in Slater, MO and Mt. Sinai A/G in Rogersville, MO. He worked at Evangel University for many years where he mentored many staff and students who worked with him. He also ministered in the disability community with Enabled! to Serve ministries. He was a gifted balloon artist, clown, and Gospel illusionist which he incorporated into his ministries. A celebration of life will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, Missouri on Friday April 16, 2021. Visitation begins at 11 am followed by the service at 12 pm. Burial will take place at Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that a donation be made to the local American Diabetes Association. He had a great sense of humor, loved his family, friends, and most of all his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be missed by all who knew him.
