Ricky D. Rose, age 65, of Springfield, MO, passed away on July 8, 2024, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO. Ricky was born to Samuel V. Rose and Joyce A. (Willoughby) Rose on May 25, 1959 in Marshfield, MO. Ricky was a graduate of Central High School in Springfield, Mo. He was the owner and operator of the Rick Rose Pest Control Company, from 1997 to 2009. Ricky enjoyed racing of all kinds, restoring Classic Cars, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his mother: Joyce Rose. He is survived by his father: Sam Rose, his children and their spouses: Megan (Nick), Dillon (Kelsey), and Michaela, seven grandchildren: Jonathan, Isaiah, Gabriel, Cecilia, Winter, Kenzi, and Cooper, his sisters and their spouses: Theresa (David) and Patty (Keith), his nieces and nephews: Rick (Andrea), Ben (Hannah), and their children: Colton and Weston, Wendy (Dain)and their daughter, Jaina, Jennifer (Conrad).

Ricky had a larger than life personality. He never met a stranger and always kept people laughing. He had a generous and giving heart that impacted all who knew him. In spite of his struggles, he continued to inspire others with his love and tenacity. He will be remembered as the very best dad, son, brother, “Pops” and friend.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow at Dishman cemetery, near Strafford, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before services.
