On Tuesday August 3rd Ricky Lee Evans, loving son, brother, grandson, cousin, uncle, father and friend to many passed away at the young age of 40.
Ricky was born July 18, 1981, in Springfield, MO to Tommy Evans and Lisa Moore. He completed his GED after leaving Central H.S. and completed culinary school where he found his love for cooking.
Ricky had a passion for camping, kayaking, canoeing, and anything outdoors. His drawings were something to be admired and brought so much joy to those lucky enough to receive them. He was a lover of music and singing karaoke. We will always remember his wit, his infectious smile, and his kind compassionate spirit.
Ricky was preceded in death by both of his paternal grandparents Bill and Margie Evans, his maternal grandfather John Moore, and two uncles Ricky Lee Evans and Monty Evans.
He is survived by his father Tommy Evans and wife Deanna of Springfield, MO, mother Lisa Holley and her husband Steve Holley of Crane, MO, maternal grandmother Janice Moore, sister Amber Evans of Springfield, MO, two brothers Tim Moore of Hootentown, MO and Scott Moore (Kerrie) of Arnold, MO, son Ricky Lee Evans Jr., one aunt Robin Eddington (JD) of Springfield, MO, three uncles Lonny Evans of Springfield, MO, Johnny Evans (Denise) of Hartville, MO, and Ronny Evans (Donna) of Springfield, MO, 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 5 great-nieces, too many cousins to count, and all the friends a guy could ask for.
The family will hold a visitation at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, August 13, 5:00-7:00.
