Robert Gerald Smith 76, Springfield, MO. passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, after a long illness. He was born on February 8, 1946, in Springfield, MO. to Kenneth and Jacquelyn (Hill) Smith. A retired welder, he had spent most of his life in the Springfield area. Robert loved the great outdoors, horses, turkey shoots, and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ron Smith, and his grand-daughter, Sara Fullington. He is survived by his two sons: Raymond Smith and Christopher Smith and his wife, Esther, his grandchildren: Eli Smith, Daniel Smith, his daughter and her husband, Mayze and Randy Fullington, and grandchildren: Austin Hosmer, Brittany Fullington, and Dustin Fullington, six great-grandchildren as well as his niece: Veronica Smith, her son, Christopher Kenneth Beazley Smith and nephew, Jason Smith.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2022, at Eastlawn cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
