Robert (Mort) Edwards, 83, of Springfield, MO., passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. He was born on January 3, 1934 in Springfield, MO. Mort went to Senior High School and graduated in 1952. He later went to work for Greene County Assessor office. Mort was a member of Central Christian Church. He volunteered with the church and with Cross Lines. Mort was an Antique collector, he loved to play golf and bowl. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Maurine Edwards. He is survived by his sister, Susie Norton and husband, Larry, his nephew, Brad Norton and wife, Kathy, Cheryl Doran and husband, Dwayne. Funeral services for Mort will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Central Christian Church, with visitation one hour prior to service at 10:00 a.m. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Crosslines or Central Christian Church.
