After a courageous battle with cancer, Robin Gail Hufft peacefully entered into the arms of Jesus on March 19, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Born on June 4, 1957, in Bakersfield, California, to Charles Henry Hufft and Laura Gwendolyn Hufft (Hawthorne), Robin was a beacon of laughter and a source of strength to all who knew her. She is lovingly remembered by her father, Rev. Charles Hufft; her brother, Brent Huff (Shawn); her daughter, Brenna Davis (Buddy); her sons, Charles A. Hufft (Anna) and Paul Hufft (Jerica); and her nine grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She is reunited with her grandmother, Katie B.; her mother, Gwen; her best friend, Anne Sanders; and countless other friends and family.
Robin, a typical “preacher’s kid,” spent much of her childhood creating mischief and memories within the walls of Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. There she formed lifelong friendships with a group affectionately known as the “Youth Group Sisters,” who offered her significant comfort and support throughout her life until her passing.
In her early adult years, she moved to Kansas City, where she faced many challenges, including an initial diagnosis of melanoma and an apartment fire in which several lives were lost. These circumstances only deepened her faith and allowed her to use her testimony to encourage others. A gifted vocalist, Robin used her gift to minister to others and point them to the Savior.
On February 14, 1982, Robin married Amir Hussain and fulfilled her lifelong dream of motherhood, which she frequently vocalized as her greatest accomplishment. An amazing mother and fierce defender of her family, she taught her children the power of independence and perseverance while instilling the importance of a relationship with Jesus as the firm foundation for success.
In 1998, she moved back to Springfield to raise her children close to family and friends. There she spent 17 years as an agent for Springfield Travel before transitioning to Mercy Whiteside Endoscopy until her retirement on December 31, 2025.
In her final years, she sold her home to lovingly care for her parents. She was a great blessing to them and will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to CrossPoint Fellowship Student Ministry.
Services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at CrossPoint Fellowship in Republic, Missouri.
At Robin’s request, no visitation or graveside services will be held.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
