Robin Johnson, 53, finished her earthly race serving her Lord Jesus Christ, and received the prize of heaven on Monday morning, October 15 after battling cancer for 6 years.
Born to Robert and June Silverthorn in Phillipsburg, NJ, she received The Lord as her Savior at a young age and remained faithful to serving God and others all her life. Robin was a High School graduate of Fountain of Life Christian School, New Village, NJ and attended Zion Bible College, East Providence, RI.
She was an exemplary wife, minister’s wife, mother, grandmother and loved by all who knew her, if even briefly. She always wore a radiant smile and had a kind word for everyone she came in touch with, even if she wasn’t feeling well. Her smile seemed to become her “trademark” expression. She loved serving The Lord and her family more than anything else in life. Robin loved to sing, as music ministry was a key part of her life. Ministry was her heart as she served along side her husband, Richard, of thirty-one years. Robin’s heart was to see kids know the love of Jesus at an early age as she helped in children’s church and kids camps for many years. Praying with women and ministering to them was also a great joy for her. She served as a pastor’s wife alongside her husband, Richard, in Kansas, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and most recently, Colorado until 2011, when they moved back to Missouri to be closer to family.
She is the daughter of Robert and June Silverthorn, Nazareth, PA. Robin is survived by her husband, Richard Johnson, Ozark, MO Three children: a son, Richard and his wife Tiffany Johnson, Nixa, MO, son, Jason and his wife Elisha Johnson, Ozark, MO, daughter Heather and her husband Joshua Borchers, Ozark, MO. and seven grandchildren, (two grandsons and five granddaughters). PA, Sherrie Lipscomb, Newark, DE, Tammie Fusciardi, Frenchtown,NJ,
Carol Hollahan of Perkasie, PA, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Robin was a committed member of James River Assembly, Ozark, MO and enjoyed serving wherever she could find a place to minister to people. Robin will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her, but rejoicing in the fact, that she is home in the presence of her Lord.
