Roland Tresemer, 77 of Springfield, passed away suddenly, Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was born in Neillsville, WI on October 27, 1934, the son of the late Emil & Hattie Tresemer.
Roland was a route driver for American Linen Supply Co. and served in the Army Reserves. He was an avid sports fan, fisherman and bowler. Roland bowled in Springfield for over 40 years. Every year he looked forward to going back home and fishing on Black River in Wisconsin. He was loved by all who knew him and his cheerful and outgoing personality made him a friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Lucy; and sisters, Susie Skroch, Gertie Hutchinson and Lucy Gates. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Wilson and husband Ronnie of Everton; son, Kevin Tresemer and wife Jewell of Springfield; grandchildren, Ashley Sowersdy and husband Chris, Nicole Dillard, Hope Burks, Ronnie Wilson, Jr., Aaron Wilson, and Andrew Tresemer; great grandchildren, Skyora Burks and Jalinn and Mariah Sowersdy; siblings, Evelyn Brown of Kansas; Ed Tresemer and wife Nancy, Dorothy Schultz and husband Jim and Carol Opelt all of Wisconsin.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Online condolences can be made at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
