It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Worden Mitchell on May 29, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born on July 20, 1942, in Aldrich, Missouri, and spent his life being a devoted father and a hardworking member of his community.
Ronald, affectionately known as Ronnie, dedicated many years of his life to the paper manufacturing industry as a factory worker at Solo Cup. He had an unwavering commitment to his faith and love for his family.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Mitchell; his parents Marion and Betty (Tygart) Mitchell; a granddaughter Samantha; and two brothers: Donald and James Mitchell.
He is survived by his three beloved daughters: Ivy Thomas, Jimella Howard (Kenny), and Scarlett Neil (Lee); five grandchildren: Nicole Scarborough, Aleisha Oldham, Lilli Neil, Shayla Laird, and Lane Neil and nine great grandchildren; a brother John Mitchell; two sisters: Kathi Frye (Bob) and Karel Jeffries (Mark); a sister in-law Linda Mitchell; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, who will carry forward his spirit and memory.
A visitation will be held in honor of Ronnie on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Pitts Chapel, where friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate his life and share their cherished memories. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Mark Jeffries officiating, providing an opportunity for all who knew and loved Ronnie to pay their respects. Following the funeral, a committal service will take place at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Aldrich, MO, where he will be laid to rest in a peaceful setting. Ronald Worden Mitchell’s faith, kind heart, tireless work ethic, and genuine love for his family will always be remembered. His legacy will continue to shine through the lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
