Ronnie Rex Vance passed away peacefully on October 30, 2021 from pancreatic cancer. Ron was born September 12, 1943 to his parents Herbert and Alline Vance, Springfield, MO. Surviving is his wife Shirley Sade, four children; Kirk Vance and wife Kim, Ozark, MO; Wendy Vance, Monte Vance, Amber Perez and husband Ismael, all in California, step son Randy Sade and wife Ruth, Sister Gwen Borders, brother Carl Vance and wife Peggy all of Springfield, MO.
Also surviving are five grandchildren in California, 3 grandchildren in Springfield, MO. 1 step granddaughter in Albany, MO. 4 great grandchildren in Springfield, MO. 3 step great granddaughters in Albany, MO. Also, nieces and nephews and many friends and relatives.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Alline Vance, step daughter, Tammy Sade Colbert and brother-in-law Roger Borders.
Ron moved to California after leaving Springfield in 1968 he was working in the office equipment business. He moved back to Springfield in 1990 and he reconnected with a friend, Shirley Sade and they spent 30 wonderful years together, getting married later on. He continued working in the office equipment business for some time but then he started a painting business. He and his step son, Randy, also renovated rental houses for some time. Ron enjoyed fixing anything that was broken, especially figurines and such. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a kind, generous and compassionate person that was loved by all. He will be missed.
Funeral service will be on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Visitation will be at 1:00 PM, service at 1:30 PM and burial at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
