Roy Lee Southard passed away at home in Joplin, Missouri on November 30, 2016. Roy served in the U.S. Army and owned R&S Heating and Air in Springfield, Missouri for 30 years. He had two Yorkies, Bandit and Smokey that he loved very much. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Forest Miller Southard and Pauline (Jeans) Southard, his brothers, John Southard, Don Southard, Bob Southard, his sisters, Shirley Gibbs, Betty Symank and Mary Lou Southard. Roy is survived by brothers, Emmett Southard and his wife Valerie, Carl Southard and his wife Lois, his son, Paul Southard his wife, Shari, daughters, Kimberlee Pratt and husband Richard, and Valerie Rogers and her husband Tom, grandchildren, Lauren Southard, Lauren Gann, Abi Southard, Cade Southard, Kendall Pratt, Tyler Rogers and Olivia Rogers, mother-in-law Adetta “Jeannie” Delzell, brother-in-laws, Brent Delzell and Shane Delzell and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Mason-Woodard Funeral Home in Joplin, MO with burial following in Fullerton Cemetery in Carthage, MO with full military honors.
Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
