Ruby Jean Wheeler, age 71, of Springfield, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 in Cox Medical Center South. She was born March 29, 1940, in Springfield, Mo., to David and Eva (Hall) Todd. Ruby Jean Wheeler, age 71, of Springfield, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 in Cox Medical Center South. She was born March 29, 1940, in Springfield, Mo., to David and Eva (Hall) Todd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; and sisters, Cleta Hughes, Ermaleen Klassen, and Daisy Pendergrass.
She is survived by two daughters, Joy Cheek, and Laura Jean Graves and her husband Michael, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Sara Cheek, Alexandra Drake, Jonah Drake, Max Graves, Emily Graves, Emily Drake; and one great-grandchild, Kolby Seidel. She is also survived by her brother, Roscoe Cleve Todd, Springfield; and two sisters, Josephine Farwell, Springfield, and Dorothy Nimmo, Kansas City, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Thursday, 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Eric Tessaro officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening also in the funeral home.
