It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Russell Ray Hoaglin, a loving husband, father, grandfather and cherished friend. He departed this world on January 21,2025, at the age of 56. Born on June 28, 1968, in Springfield, MO. Russ lived a life filled with love and laughter. Russ had a wonderful sense of humor and a strong work ethic. His parents were Ray Warren and Marcella Ruth (Carnelison) Hoaglin.
Russ was known for his incredible memory that could recall the most intricate details. A talent that perfectly complemented his careers at Edco and Northrop Grumman (Litton).
Russ married the love of his life, Carolyn in 1993 & again in 2013. He affectionately called her “Blondie”. Their bond was special, filled with shared dreams and countless treasured memories. Together, they raised three children Valerie, Courtney, and Michael. As a proud grandfather, Russ adored his nine grandchildren, relishing every milestone and watching them grow.
Russ’s warmth and quick wit brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a man who loved life and had an infectious smile.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Russ is survived by his loving wife Carolyn; his three children Valerie Storz-Joyner, Courtney Murphy, and Michael Hoaglin and his wife, Sarah. He also left behind nine grandchildren, Kaylee Rene’ Storz, Carmen Ortiz, Nevaeh Woods, Aria Joyner, Zaiden Murphy, Jahnessa Joyner, Madalynn Hoaglin, Lucas Hoaglin and Isaac Hoaglin; as well as his brother Randy Hoaglin and his wife Anna. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
Let us come together to celebrate Russ. He touched so many lives. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the stories we share and the moments we cherish.
