It is a blessing to remember Ann (Ruth) and all of the ways she impacted so many children and their families. I was one of the children impacted by her life in the children's ministry at Second Baptist. Not only did I have the privilege to be ministered by her as a child, but I also had the honor of serving children alongside her from age 13, on. She will forever be a special person in my life.

I am so saddened by Ann's passing. She and I go back a long time when I was a member at Second. I think we came there about the same time. I watched as you children began to grow up and I'm sure you don't remember me but I remember you. Ann was the director of our pre-school and my Nephew, Shawn Evans was a student there. She was a gallant warrior as she battled illness and a precious friend. Blessings on each of you.

Ann was a wonderful Christian lady who really loved the Lord. I'm so sorry about your loss. My thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time. She went out of her way to comfort & encourage me when I became a widow. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Ann was the director for the Second Seniors at Second Baptist Church, and we all fell in love with her. She lived her faith and was very much in love with the people she helped, those she met, the many, many she touched. We were thrilled in Lydia's Faith older ladies Sunday School class when Ann joined. We had a group within that class nicknamed "Sisters without Misters", and after Joe's death, she joined our Monday lunches and all the fellowship and fun. To say we miss her is too lightweight a term. She was a vital part of our lives, but when God called her home, we were incredibly happy for her - she finally made it "home", which was always her goal. See you in Heaven, dear, dear friend.

Ann was my sunday school teacher in 6th grade. She saw the Lord working in my life and she mentored me along my spiritual journey, encouraging me in my leading and teaching. We had the wonderful opportunity to go on several mission trips with Ann where she continued to pour herself out for others. Her love for children was only surpassed by her love for her Lord.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Ann was a dear lady who touched so many lives for The Lord. I (Sabina) was blessed to be one of the children she ministered to at Second Baptist Church many years ago. Then I had the privilege of serving children alongside her. She will forever be treasured within our hearts, and we look forward to seeing her again one day in God's perfect Heavenly kingdom. All family and friends are in our prayers during this difficult time. We pray that knowing what a lovely life Ann lived and where she is now is a great comfort and strength to all who were blessed to know her.
