I'm so sorry to hear of Ruth's passsing. The Proffitts were pastors in K. C. at my parents home church for several years. They were loved dearly. May God give the family peace and comfort during this time.

Rev. Paul J. and Lana R. Duda left a message on September 7, 2021:
Dear Pastor Ed and family, Ruth was a beautiful friend and wonderful Christian. Her sense of humor was contagious. I (Lana) loved it when she said, "Well, it is Miller time, need to leave." It was the church she co-pastored with you Ed in Miller, MO. We worked together at the International Ministries Office in Springfield, MO, and every Wednesday, with great enthusiasm for church, she would say goodbye to me that way. Ruth was an excellent co-worker. She always looked beautiful. She once told me she loved you Ed before you knew it when you were friends with her brother early in life. She will be missed and we look forward to the day when we meet again. You are in our prayers and in our thoughts. Lovingly, Paul and Lana Duda
