Ruth S. Turner, 92, passed away on September 10, 2014 at The Manor at Elfindale with her family at her side.
She was born October 17, 1921 to John Augustus and Selma (Larson) Palmer. Ruth graduated from Lebanon High School. She married Otis Lloyd Turner, Jr. on May 16, 1942 after he completed U.S. Navy Flight school at Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, sisters, Esther Langemeier, Ann Krudwig Russell, Dorothy Hendry and Ellen Ficke and brother, Carl Palmer.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Paul Richard (Katherine K.) Turner and their children, Kristina Turner of Las Cruces, NM and Clinton (Nasiba) Turner of Santa Fe, NM daughter, Sigrid Ann Bennett of Springfield, MO her children, Kevin (Theresa) Silsby of Colorado Springs, CO and Kim Silsby, (Laurant Lambert) of San Jose, CA and four great grandchildren, William & Joseph Silsby and Joseph & Adam Turner, and many family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be Mon. Sept. 15, at Greenlawn Funeral Home-East at 2 p.m. ithe visitation at 1 p.m. Interment at New Hope Cemetery, Long Lane, MO following the service.
