Sharon was intelligent, well educated, and passionate about many things. She believed in equality and social justice. She marched in the civil rights movement. She loved literature. She devoted her life to helping others, whether it was as a professor at SMSU, or as a tax accountant and bookkeeper working out of her home. She also loved video poker, and found peace and joy being in a casino. Sharon willingly gave her time, effort, and energy to others, sometimes at her own expense physically and mentally. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
