Steven Lee McLain, 60, of Branson, Missouri, passed away September 28, 2021, in his home. He was born on May 10, 1961, to David Wayne McLain and Sandy Mae (Herbert) McLain in Peoria, Illinois.
Steven was a graduate of Manual High School in Peoria and served his country in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge.
Music was quite important in Steven’s life. He was a self-taught guitarist and wrote his own music, as well as singing those songs. For over forty years his guitar was a source of joy and relaxation.
Steven’s other interests included fishing, basketball, games of “Scrabble”, and especially time spent with his family.
Steven was a painter by trade. He had also been employed at the Branson Convention Center for eight years and Grand Country for one year. He was a hard worker.
Surviving Steven are three daughters: Sharon McLain, Mary Rippee (and husband Shawn), and Sherri Randall (and husband Justin); six grandchildren: Kyle, Rebecca, Brianna, Leigha, Billy, and Dempsey; three brothers: Mike McLain, David McLain, and Chris McLain; two sisters: Kathy Duncan and Laura McGrew (and husband Dean); several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; and a close friend, Roy M.
Steven will be greatly missed.
