Steven Ray Murphy, 68, Springfield, MO. passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, after a long illness. He was born on February 10, 1955, in Riverside, California, to Orbin and Alta (Story) Murphy. He was a former electrician with Hudson Foods and a United States Navy veteran of The Vietnam War.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents: Orbin and Alta Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Jule Murphy, their children and their spouses: Candice Murphy Franklin (John), Steven Murphy II (Jessica), Sterling Ryan Murphy and Samuel Murphy, grandchildren: Victoria Ayala, Wiliam McNeese Franklin, Evangeline Raye Murphy, Rowinn Myers, and Lexy Myers, his brother: Danny Murphy, and two sisters: Tina Murphy (Bob) and Dianne.
Mremorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will be at a later date, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
