Susie Newman was born Dec. 12, 1947, in ARK., to Gene and Geneva (Reed) Pierce. She passed away on June 26th, 2024 at the age of 76 years.

Susie is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cynthia and Chris Fullington, and grand daughter Cherish Fullington, her sisters: Ginny Rodgers, of Marionville, MO. and Wilda Dickens, of Springfield, MO. along with many nieces and nephews and friends.

Susie was preceded in death by her husband, of fifty years, David Newman, her parents, Gene and Geneva Pierce, her in-laws whom she loved very much: Walter and Thelma Elkins.

After graduating High School, in 1966, she married her High School Sweetheart, David Newman, in 1967. She worked as a hairdresser for 20 plus years, she was a secretary for Do-More Enterprises, a mobile truck wash they owned for a while. Susie had many hobbies over the years, but found her love of sewing, making quilt tops, and so many things. She loved going to her clubs and sewing classes. But, her favorite day was on Mondays, when her girl friends would come over and they would all sew and visit. Her life was very blessed, with all her family and friends she had and she will be missed very much by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Graveside service will be Monday, July 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn North. Services have been entrusted with loving care to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
