Sylvia Lynn Steele, 76, of Branson, MO passed away on July 14, 2024.

Sylvia was born in November 16, 1947 to Raymond and Dorothy Monn in Sterling, IL. After graduating high school she moved to Hawaii where she met the love of her life Thomas Steele. They got married on October 26, 1973 in Lawrence, KS. They went on to have two daughters Erin and Tabby.

Sylvia lived her life taking care of everyone around her people and animals alike. Whether it was getting slippers and bracelets for residents at nursing homes, to decorating and donating dollhouses for kids at Christmas, to giving strangers rides (despite lectures from her daughters) or donating food and toys to any and every animal shelter she knew, there was never a need that Sylvia wouldn’t meet.  She was truly one of a kind.  Her greatest joy came later in life when she became a Grammy.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Dorothy Monn, her sister Claudia Thomson, and husband Thomas A Steele DO FACEP. She is survived by her brother Gordy(Janet) Monn of Illinois, and nieces and nephews in Illinois and Wisconsin, daughter Erin Steele of Springfield, MO,  daughter Tabitha (Matthew) Meadows of Overland Park, KS, her beloved grandchildren Vincent and Goldie Meadows and an abundance of friends, neighbors and woodland critters that she considered family.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 18 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson from 4-6. Services will be Friday, July 19 at Greenlawn Funeral Home at 11:00. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Branson Humane Society.
