Terry Allen Parker, II, age 47, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on April 9, 2026. He was born on April 7, 1979, in Bridgeton, Missouri.
Terry was a gifted musician and a beloved presence in the Springfield music scene, where he spent over 30 years playing guitar with various bands and at church, sharing his passion for music wherever he went. Music was not just something he did — it was part of who he was. Whether on stage or surrounded by friends, Terry brought passion, soul, and energy to every note.
Outside of music, Terry found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He loved spending time cooking, grilling and smoking meat for family and friends, fishing, and looked forward to his Saturday cigars shared with a special group of close buddies—times filled with laughter, stories, and connection that meant so much to him.
Terry will be remembered for his quick-witted sense of humor and stubborn streak, both of which were only matched by his incredibly big heart. He loved deeply–especially his family—and had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved in a way that was uniquely his.
Terry is survived by his wife, Karla Parker; his mother, Cheryl Bilyeu; his sisters, Candece Hite (and her husband, Joshua Hite) and Tracie Black; and his nieces and nephews, Gavin Hite, Braydon Hite, Dannielle Hasty, Quinn Snipes, and Gage Garrison, all of whom he adored and was a proud and loving uncle to.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Allen Parker I, and his grandparents, Max Bilyeu, Dorothy Bilyeu, Ruby Parker, and Virginia Parker.
Terry’s legacy lives on in the music he created, the laughter he shared, and the deep love he gave to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 N. National Ave., in Springfield. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Care has been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
