Vestle Boyd Hamilton Jr. (Boyd) was born on December 11, 1943 in Springfield, Missouri to Hazel M. and Vestle Boyd Hamilton Sr. Boyd spent his early career in the banking industry as a loan officer and collections agent. His entrepreneurial spirit took hold and led him on several adventures over the years. To say he enjoyed fishing would be an understatement. He enjoyed spending time with family, the outdoors, gardening and feeding the deer that visited the house daily. Boyd passed away on August 3, 2015 at Cox Medical Center in Branson at age 71. He is preceded in death by his parents Vestle Boyd Hamilton Sr., Hazel M. Hamilton and brother-in-law, Bill Mouchka. Boyd is survived by his companion and best friend of 33 years, Sue Cour, daughters Misty Fiedler of Willard and Jeanie Jolley of Springfield, step-daughters Tracie Lockwood and husband Mike of Strafford, Kelli Mitchell and husband Scot of Giddings, Texas, Sister Connie Mouchka of Springfield, a Sister in Arizona, a Sister in Texas, Nephew Brian Dixon and wife Jennifer of Springfield, Niece Annette Mahannah and husband Steve of Springfield, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great niece. Visitation will be Saturday, August 8th from Noon to 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. In accordance with his wishes there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals or Children’s Miracle Network of Springfield. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
