Mrs. Vicki J. (Chappell) Smith, age 67 of Buffalo, MO, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020, at the Buffalo Prairie Care Center.  She was born February 16, 1953, in Springfield, MO, the fourth of six children, to Maurice J. and Ella Jean (Crafton) Chappell.  She was raised in the Pleasant Hope, MO, area and graduated from Pleasant Hope High School the class of 71’.  She crocheted many many beautiful baby blankets for family, neighbors, and friends.  She was a member of the Buffalo Eastern Star #446.  She was united in marriage to Richard Smith October 31, 1999.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother Dennis Chappell; and one step daughter.

Vicki is survived by her husband Richard of the home; one son Kevin Clopp and wife Katrin of VA; three grandchildren: Jewell, Johnathon, and Joy Clopp; two step sons, four step daughters; 18 step grandchildren and  14 step great grandchildren; one sister Marcia Mayfield and husband Doyle of Halfway, MO; three brothers: Daryl Chappell and wife Jamie of MI, Steve Chappell and wife Donna of Bolivar, MO, and Marty Chappell and wife Stacy of Buffalo, MO; one sister in-law Carol Chappell of Springfield, MO; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Pitts Chapel with Bro. Doyle Mayfield officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service from 9:00 to 10:00 am.  Burial will take place at a later date at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Bolivar, MO.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
