Victoria Ann Manier went home to be with her heavenly Father, on January 17, 2026, at Cox Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Victoria, also known as Vickie, was born to Richard Lee Brown and Phyllis Rector (Small) on October 2, 1956, in Springfield, Missouri. Richard later married Bessie Brown, and together they raised Victoria and her brothers and sisters.
Vickie attended Central High School and was a drummer in the well-known Kilties. She graduated in 1975 and joined the United States Marines. Thereafter she met her soul mate, Jerry Floyd Manier, and they were married on November 20, 1976. Vickie worked at General Electric/Regal Bilot, for over 30 years until she retired.
Victoria gave her life to the Lord, and her and her husband diligently served at Timmon’s Temple Church of God in Christ, wherein she served as a Sunday school teacher, over the youth department, and received her Missionary’s license. Vickie later worked in ministry with her husband. As First Lady, of the Hartville Church of God in Christ she served as a praise leader, teacher and psalmist. Vickie and Elder Manier often ran revivals in Hartville, traveled doing tent revivals, and a radio ministry, all under the power of the Holy Ghost, until her husband’s health no longer allowed him to pastor the Hartville church. Victoria tended to, and took great care of, her husband, during his illness, for 8 years, until he went home to be with the Lord. Vickie joined Covenant of Grace Christian Center Church of God in Christ, under Pastors Tray L. Walton Sr. and Agnes Walton., and continued her Missionary license under the Missouri Midwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, under Bishop Elijah H. Hankerson, III. Victoria taught Sunday School in her local church, was a prayer warrior, a minister, a member of the choir, and served faithfully, until her health would no longer allow her to attend church. Victoria loved the Lord with her whole heart until she was called home.
Vickie enjoyed, watching her westerns and NCIS, she loved crocheting, bible study, spending time with her family and especially her grand-kids who affectionately referred to her as “Honeyma”.
Vickie never missed Wednesday night prayer in her church unless she was ill. She was very well versed in the bible. She was part of a prayer group praying for friends, family, community, and other issues of the world. If you knew Vickie, you knew her humble, loving, caring, sweet side, and great since of humor, and she was a great friend.
When Vickie went home to be with the Lord, waiting to welcome her to her heavenly home were her parents, Richard Brown, Bessie, Brown, and Phyllis Rector, her husband, Elder Jerry Manier, her son Eric Manier, her brothers Lathan McDaniel and Eric Brown, grandparents (paternal and maternal).
Vickie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Ktanya Hill (David), Tasha Manier; siblings, William “Leroy” Brown (Yolonda), Rosetta Martin (William), Richard Brown, Jr. (Tanya), and Katherine Armstrong (Charles), all of Springfield, MO, and Melissa Brown of Chicago, Illinois, a special aunt, Rosetta Clarida, special nephew, Lavester Trout, and special friends Amenda Darden and Jean Lee Duke, 7 sister-n-laws, 1 brother-n-law, 11 grandkids, 2 great grandkids; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Victoria was a beautiful daughter, sister, niece, wife, mother, auntie, grandmother, and friend, and was known affectionately as Momma, Honey-ma, Sissy, Sexy, and Mommy. Vickie carried herself as a Women of God with great integrity, and she will be greatly missed.
A special thanks from the family to Fresenius Medical Care for her care and comfort during her dialysis and Access Transportation for kindly being able to take her to any appointments for the care she needed.
