Walter David Shepard, 79, Republic, Mo. passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019, in Mercy Hospital. He was born on December 19, 1939, to James Wesley and Hatie (Sypolt) Shepard. He was a retired carpenter for City Utilities, the founder of the world famous Shepard Deer Camp, and a member of the Galloway Full Gospel Church.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, and his two wives: Emma Shepard and Freda Shepard. He is survived by three daughters: Tammy Koon and her husband David, Lorrie Jackson, and Rhonda Belle and her husband, Joe, and one son: Kenneth Shepard and his wife, Jonna as well as many grand-children and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Patterson Cemetery, with his grandson, Maxwell Shepard officiating. No visitation is planned.
