Wanda Lea Evans, 74, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Wanda was born December 20, 1949 in Norwood, Missouri to Raymond and Elizabeth O’Dell. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Janet Sue Cuff. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Jim Evans, two sons Brent and wife Marla Evans of Rogersville, MO, and Bart and wife Heather Evans of Houston, TX, and a daughter Christi Broockerd and husband Bronson of Matthews, NC. Seven grandchildren, Drew, Abbey, Raegan, Maddie, Reese, Cole, and Lauren. A sister Rhonda Jo Cooper, 2 brothers John and Scott O’Dell and several uncles, aunt, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Wanda loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren that she taught to sew (quilts as she was so gifted), to cook as she was the best, and to play games at all levels. Her message to all was “Love God and Love each other”.
There will be a Visitation/Celebration of Life Monday, September 2, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO. Wanda requested everyone bring a funny story to share and Laugh a Lot. A graveside will be at Tuesday, September 3, 9:00 AM, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd. (Family Only)
