Waneta K. Britton (Moore) age 86, was born on December 26, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, MO. She left us to be with her Lord on February 5, 2025. Waneta K. Britton (Moore) age 86, was born on December 26, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, MO. She left us to be with her Lord on February 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob and her son Lonnie Howard. She was blessed with five children: Kathy, Lonnie, Ollie, David, and Leonard, nine grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
When younger, Waneta spent 20+ years working at Village Inn Pancake House in Springfield. After moving to Buffalo, she worked another 5+ years at the Victorian Steakhouse.She then started volunteering at Buffalo’s senior resale shop. She liked playing “Bingo” and listening to Gospel music.
She will be laid to rest in the to rest in the Cedar Bluff Family Cemetery, in Dallas County, MO. Services will be Monday, February 10, 2025, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield. Burial will follow in Dallas County.
She was loved by all who knew her will be greatly missed.
