Wanna Faye Ballinger Thompson, born February 24, 1929 in Baptist Hospital in Muskogee, Ok. passed away February 11, 2014. She was the only child of Orville & Nell Ballinger. She graduated at Bagley High School in Tallahqua, Ok. She attended her nurses training and was a student at Baptist Hospital in Ok. Later she became a instructor for cosmetology. Wanna & John were married on December 2, 1950 they owned & operated Floorcraft Carpet & Furniture from 1980 to 1989.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, John, of Springfield, 2 sons Paul & wife Marlene of Bonita Springs, FL., Mark & wife Debbie, Springfield, 5 grandchildren: Breanna, Jacob, Joe, Chris, Eric & 4 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with interment following at Missouri Veterans Cemetery 5201 South Southwood Springfield, Missouri 65804.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 13, 2014 in the funeral home.
