Joe was a great cousin, but also friend, and the best hairdresser. We shared ALOT in common and I always enjoyed catching up. His love and passion for his animals was so deep and sincere. Joe, you were loved and will be missed by so many including myself.
Denise Kendrick left a message on June 3, 2023:
I hadn't seen Joe in such a long time until the morning he came in for his angiography I am so so glad I got to reconnect with him for a very short time. He was such a great person. Went to him in the 80's and he gave me a VERY short hairstyle, hence the nickname I received "Hair". RIP Joe❤️

Joe was more than a friend to me, he was like a brother. His love and friendship sustained me through many difficult times in my life. I can still hear his voice and laughter. The memories of our many years of friendship sustain me now. His entire family always treated me and mine, as if we belonged to them. I will never stop missing you my dearest dearest friend.

Don and I have known Joe since 1980. We've loved him since we met him. There are simply no words to describe what a special, loving, giving friend he has been. The huge hole in our hearts will never mend but the vast number of visits and stories we will treasure until again we see his face. Much love to all his family and friends. He will always be a treasured memory.

I’ve known Joe since 1997. I always loved seeing him at the salon. He welcomed my little dog, Daisy, regularly, and let her have the run of the salon. We always talked about our animals, dogs first, then after he moved to the farm he was delighted to talk about his horses, chickens, and the whole menagerie.. I’ll never forget the time he said, “Sam, your hair is turning salt and pepper in the back. You need to let it go salt and pepper all over.” I was horrified then—wasn’t ready for salt and pepper hair—but would give anything to hear him say it again. He was a sweet funny, loving man and I will miss him.
