Wesley Ken Stark, age 63, passed away on August 26, 2021 after a six week battle suffering from Covid19.
He was born on May 26, 1958 in Augusta, Georgia to Viola Mae Neland and Wesley Ken Stark. He grew up in Lee’s Summit, Missouri where he attended high school. Ken left for Texas on a whim with a group of buddies and little in his pocket. He worked many odd jobs, and eventually landed a job in a dental lab in Corpus Christi, Texas where he became a Certified Dental Technician. It was at that job his coworker, Rosa (future sister-in-law), introduced Ken to Elsa. Ken and Elsa married in 1987 and eventually relocated with their son Michael to Springfield, Missouri. Ken worked the past 23 years at Edmonds Dental Prosthetics.
Ken’s hobbies included fishing and cycling. He loved getting out on his boat with family and friends. Ken completed the MS 150 seven times. Although Ken was born and raised in KC, his allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys remained steadfast.
Ken is survived by his son, Michael Andrew Stark; brother, Robert Stark (Trish) of Lenexa; sister, Peggy Parks of Clinton; fiance Suzy Fallon of Peculair; stepparents, Mary Stark of Raymore and George Neland of Clinton; sister-in-law, Rosa Segovia (Johnny) of Corpus Christi; brother- in- law, Joe (Rosie) of Corpus Christi; stepsibling, Rhonda, Rick, Carl and Doug and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Elsa Stark; parents Viola Neland and Wesley Ken Stark; brother-in-law Vincete Olvera; in-laws Margarita and Jose Olvera and nephew, Mark Olvera.
