Willa Dean Dickens, age 78, of Springfield, MO, formerly of Bolivar, went to the arms of her loving Savior on Monday, February 27, 2012 in Woodland Manor. She was born August 11, 1933 to Orville and Gertie Crume. Willa was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Dickens; brother, Emmanuel Crume; sister, Norma Rowe; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Rowe and Paul Thompson.
Survivors include her sister, Marie Thompson; niece and husband, Cindy and Rob Helfner and their children, Heidi, Gretchen, Matthew and Robbie; nephew and wife, Greg and LeAnne Rowe and their children, Stephanie, Justin and Ashley; nephew and wife, Gary and Serena Rowe and their children, Mason and Brandon Weddle; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Perry; and her Oak Grove Assembly family and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Pastors Ellis Hacker and Ron Morein officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations are made to the Building or Benevolence fund at Oak Grove Assembly of God in Springfield.
