William B. Crosby (Bing) went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 17, 2011. He was born on December 29, 1915 to the late Grovner and Ida (Lawson) Crosby in Greene County.
He was united in marriage to Virginia L. Beam and they spent 70 wonderful years together before her passing on November 18, 2008. Bing proudly served his country in US Army during WWII and was stationed in New Guinea. Bing worked for Trailmobile as a Welder and later worked for Zenith until retirement. Bing served at Chairman of the Board for IBEW in the 1970s. He was active in his church Immanuel Baptist.
Survivors include his sons, Richard Crosby and wife Virginia Lee of Willard and Wayne Crosby and wife Cheyrl of Elkland; granddaughters, Wendy Dalton and husband Brad, Dawn Hicks and husband Derl, Cheri Scrivener and husband Jason and Cindy Moore and husband John; 10 great grandchildren and Mouser.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 10:00 am at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
