William (Bill) Lee Roberts of Ozark, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the age of 38 years. He was born October 31^st, 1983, to Richard Roberts and Mary (Belden) Dykes at Cox North Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Bill was a 2002 graduate of Strafford High School in Strafford, Missouri. He studied computer science at Ozark Technical Community College and was a self-proclaimed IT Geek.  Bill was employed as an IT Specialist at O’Reilly Auto Parts Corporate Headquarters where he took great pride in his work.

Bill enjoyed all things outdoors, including floating, kayaking, and hiking.  He loved to travel and experience new places.  He was never without a camera in hand and had a special gift for photography. Bill had an appreciation for fast cars, whether it be his beloved Mustang or one of his many RC cars.  In his early twenties, Bill was an accomplished race car driver. He and his father Richard shared that love and spent many hours building cars and racing together. From a young age, Bill was known to take apart any gadget he could get his hands on, only to prove he could put it back together again and continued those habits into adulthood with computers, drones, and cameras. He was also known for his remarkable chainmaille jewelry. Bill loved to be a part of anything involving his girlfriend Misty and her kids, who he loved like they were his own. He never missed a soccer game, dinner, graduation, birthday, or a chance to spend time with them.

William was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Reverend Lee & Dorothy Belden with whom he had a very special bond.

William is survived by his father Richard Roberts and wife Christine, mother, Mary Dykes and husband Tom, a brother, Chris Roberts all of Springfield, Missouri, his soulmate Misty Pinkston, of the home, her children Brianna (Carter) Norton of Chicago, Illinois, Bryce (Madden) Pinkston of Springfield, Missouri, and Braxtyn Pinkston, also of the home, half-brother Jason Callahan and half-sister Missy Raper and families, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Bill will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lake Springfield Boathouse located at 2312 Lake Springfield Park Road, Springfield, Missouri.  A reception will be held following the service.  Please come and celebrate with us the life of our much-loved William Lee Roberts.
