
William “Bill” Dean Trader, 84, of Springfield, MO, passed away on June 9, 2024. He was born on October 20, 1939, in Muscatine, IA. He married Hulda Dee (Forth) Trader on April 25, 1959, at the Methodist Church in Warsaw, MO. They were united in marriage for 55 years. He attended church at the South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. He was a former motorcycle cop for Kansas City and later a Deputy Sheriff in Dallas County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Trader and Ethel Trader, his wife Hulda Dee (Forth) Trader, his brother Ed Trader, and sister Gwen Hibdon, his sons Mark Trader, Max Trader, and daughter-in-law Melissa “Missy” Trader.
He is survived by his wife Joann Benson-Trader; children Michael Dean Trader of North Liberty, IA; Marilyn Dee (Clint) Eidson of Springfield, MO; Donna Trader of Miramar Beach, FL. 10 grandchildren; Bradley (Elina),Cynthia (Robert), Laura (Jerry), Rachael, Phillip (Callie), Joshua (Rebecca), Adam (Tessa), Allison (Jared), Douglas (Elizabeth), and Jacqueline (James); 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
As a person who never knew a serious moment and had a song for everything, Bill has blessed the world with his own tune.
