William Earl Miller, known to all as Earl, passed away at the age of 94 in Branson, Missouri. He was born in Watseka, Illinois, and went on to build a full and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.
Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of his life to his work at the College of the Ozarks, where he remained until his retirement in 1997.
He made his home in Branson, Missouri, alongside his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Freda, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Together they built a life grounded in love, commitment, and devotion to one another.
Earl had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and could often be found tinkering in his shop or enjoying God’s creation through hunting, fishing, swimming, gardening, and time spent in nature. He was a faithful member of Hollister First Baptist Church and lived out a deep and abiding faith in our Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Curtis Miller and Mary Alice Miller; his brother, Darold Austin Miller; and his beloved wife, Freda Fern (LaRue) Miller.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Belinda Walden and her husband, Lee; his granddaughter, Lydia Snavely and her husband, Preston; and his two cherished great-granddaughters, Reagan and Reese Snavely.
Earl will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady faith, love of family, and the simple joy he found in God’s creation. His legacy lives on in the lives of those who loved him.
