William (Bill) S. Martin, 89, Springfield, Mo., died at 2:38am Thursday, May 18, 2023 in Cox South Hospital after a short illness.
He was born November 15, 1933, in Springfield Mo., the son of Fred and Clara Martin. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.
He was a route driver for Colonial Bakery for many years and a small business owner of a Pepperidge Farm Distributorship from 1980 to 1996.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Rositta Martin, his parents; a brother, Donnie; his son-in-law Mark Kittle; and a grandson Christian John.
He is survived by a son, Bill Martin Jr.; two daughters Kimberly Wise and Laurie Kittle; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Martin and a sister, Marilyn Kay Williams.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Eastlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 24 at Greenlawn East Funeral Home.
