William Michael “Mike” Trotter, age 68, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on January 9, 2024, in his home. Mike was born to William E. Trotter and Joan (Hosiner) Trotter on July 20, 1955, in Springfield, Missouri. Mike graduated from Central High School in 1973. He was united in marriage to Susan Lott on October 14, 1978, in Springfield. They were blessed with two children, Jennifer and Jeffrey Trotter.

Mike started his career when he was 18 years old with Southwestern Bell Company as an operator. He continued his career with Southwestern Bell as a technician and later went into management with AT&T. He retired after 35 years of service in 2008. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time at the lake, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family. However, nothing brought Mike more fulfillment than spending time with his three grandsons. Mike will be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, father, and Papa.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Trotter and his brother, Brian Trotter. He is survived by his father, William E. Trotter; sisters, Regina Winton (Bob Winton), Tracy Morton (Gene Morton); daughter, Jennifer Trotter; son, Jeffrey Trotter; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Trotter; grandsons: Callaway, Landon, and Noah Trotter; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
