William Edward Wells,45, of Springfield passed away Friday, September 11, 2009, in Cox South Hospital. He was born in Ft. Scott, Kan., on April 22, 1964. William graduated from Central High School. He served in the United States Army National Guard and recieved an honorable discharge in July 2007, after 12 years of service. On March 24, 2007, in Springfield MO, he married Sandi Wells. He was a member of Park Crest Baptist Church and a decorated veteran. Willam was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Francis Wells. He is survived by his wife, Sandi Ellen Wells; father Leslie Robert Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Kelby Vivian and James Barnes; daughter and son-in-law Keegan Marie and Willam Paden; son Isaiah Wilson; one grandchild, Kierstyn Vivian Barnes; brothers, Randy and Teresa Wells, and Tim and Penny Wells; and nephews, Dustin and Daniel Wells. Funeral services will be held in Park Crest Baptist Church at 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2009. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009.
